I am disappointed. On my freshly installed Lemmy, importing my different profiles caused my instance to federate with the instances/community, I had blocked. I should either reinstall or clean the database manually to remove them. But I still used some of them to test the federation in the end XD. And you, do you have any regrets?

That’s frustrating. Did you block them at the individual level or instance level?

How do you clean the database? I haven’t touched that before lol

Regrets? No! I’m very happy with running my own instance so far. I’ve had some corruption but easily fixable. I’m running 20 or so other services on the same crappy server and all appears to be going well :)

By using PostegreSQL directly on the db or with APIs, dont know yet 🙃
Ive seen that we can block/purge /c even on our instances, so 🤷‍♀️
