I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in the left column. When those expectations are brought up, I generally quit.

    Do you have some context for this? What is it from?

    Whoever wrote it seems like they’re looking for sheep, and are trying to cast anyone who isn’t helplessly servile as manipulative.

      Yeah this is fishy.

      Because I’ve applied to jobs that were like, “If you can’t perform mental calculus while riding a unicycle, then you’re unfit” and then you’re in the interview and the manager goes, “Yeah sorry the application was written by the fuckwits in HR. They don’t know shit about what we do.”

      Yeah, I am also confused by the context. Both colums can be desirable traits/skills depending in the job. None of them mean someone is a “rule bending narcissist.”
