One thing that shocked me a bit, or maybe I should’ve expected this, was that my white attorney was buddy-buddy with the prosecutor. It was nepotism in full view. It felt so wrong, even though this was to my advantage. Originally, I was going to ask a black attorney to represent me in court, but my Father stopped me and told me to hire a white lawyer instead. I thought that it would’ve been fine if it was a black person. How could I have been so naive. Once again, I am reminded here in America, of how white supremacy works. I’ve been secluded in my NEET cave for so long that I’ve forgotten the fundamentals of this country’s workings. Now that I’ve realized it. Yeah, black lawyers would face an unfair level of play in the justice system.
