    It was pretty shitty behaviour then and now. The change is just whether people not directly targeted by it realized it, or faced consequences for it.

        But I feel like this is the most recent example of a white actor using black face in a manner that wasn’t exactly problematic.

        Because as the quote says, it’s not him doing it. It’s the character he’s playing doing it.

        Which is an important distinction, and answers a question that probably wasn’t serious to begin with
