It’s crazy to think Anakin could have had everything he ever wanted. He would have been granted the rank of master in due time, he could have lived happily ever after with the woman he loved. But instead he was groomed and manipulated by some creepy old fuck. It’s really sad.
Fanboys (2009) is a movie where the premise is getting a terminal friend to Skywalker Ranch to see Episode 1 before he dies. The movie ends with the joke sting “but what if it sucks?” (Or something along those lines) before fading to credits. That joke wouldn’t have landed if the general consensus was that the prequels were good.
