My friend cancelled our Dungeons and Dragons game for the second time in a row. This second time is because he is having a birthday party. I’m trying to be excited about the party. But I think I need to talk to him about the responsibility of hosting a game.
This is a daily post for “casual” conversation. If you want to post or talk about something non autism related this is where to do it. For example if you want to info dump about your special interest but it doesn’t fall into “autism related” then you can post it here in the comments. All other rules are still active, be respectful to each other.
Same here, I used to host, but my friend is allergic to cats, so we moved the game to his house.
What dish have you been cooking?
This is why having a successful D&D group is one of the most difficult commitments in life. So many factors can get in the way and need to be overcome constantly to make it work.
In the game I mentioned FarmRPG, the meal “Crunchy Omelette” provides a temporary boost that multiplies the items gathered from pets by 1.5x. It can only be cooked during April and requires 5 of the the event item Egg 05 which itself is valuable and is traded on the game’s player-driven market for said value. Additionally it can’t be cooked by brand new players, it takes at least a couple months of play to unlock the kitchen and get to Cooking Level 35.
The scarcity of the item and its value causes it to be rather expensive for new players to obtain enough of to use reliably when they need to collect from their pets for quests and such, and so I like to hoard a bunch to give away. Since only need to collect from my pets once a month (my inventory size will always outpace the amount of items they generate by then) I need only 12 of these for myself. I’ve currently cooked over 8000 this month and given away 2000+ and I’m keeping the rest to disburse to newer players throughout the rest of the year.
