    This is a fundamental flaw with current Christianity and most religions as a whole.

    If an arbitrary third party absolves your sins then you don’t feel an emotional need to own your wrongs.

    The above assuming the person isn’t a psychopath in the first place.

      Absolution requires to ask for forgiveness; to ask for forgiveness requires the owning of our wrongs; to Owen our wrongs require reparation and trying at best of our possibility to stop repeating our wrongs.
