      Damn, ya got there before me.

      I feel this is a hobby where people can get into obsessing about all the toys and trinkets. From the outside I assume it looks really embarrassing haha

        Spoiler

        I do appreciate the aesthetics of having Espresso as a hobby. Bit too pricy for me tho, I’ll stick with my $5 Moka pot lol

          ::: spoiler I went fairly hard down the espresso rabbit hole, lelit Mara x v2, niche zero, handful of accessories. I like it, but it 100% isn’t as the aesthetic portrays. It’s more comppicated and the learning curve is steep. You may luck into a few good pulls, but it just takes time.

          I don’t regret it, but I still absolutely love a V60 brew. With espresso I find myself rushing the process to get a coffee. The ritual of a pour over never left me feeling more irritated than when I started.

          Your list of worries are a lot lower as well, am I scaling up to inside, do I need to lubricate my cams, how dirty is it under thr shower screen, etc… :::

    I’m a little mad I know what this is…

    Also how the fuck do you use spoilers on Lemmy? I looked it up and every single thread I found that explained it didn’t work.

      Voyager app says it’s like this

      ::: spoiler Tap for spoiler
      hidden content
      :::

      Which makes:

      Tap for spoiler

      hidden content

        I don’t know if it’s my sync app or what but I don’t see any formatting or symbols on my end at all. Can you post a screen shot of what you’re doing?

          Oh that actually worked for me on my sync app. But yes there’s issues with the app displaying spoiler tags correctly.

          Spoilers are like this >! !<

            That only works within the Sync app, not Lemmy as a whole. As plantsmakemehappy posted further up in the thread, the Lemmy markdown for spoilers is as follows:

            ::: spoiler Tap here to reveal the secret.
            Hidden content
            :::

            Which is rendered as:

            Tap here to reveal the secret.

            Hidden content

            !test!<

            I do not understand what the fuck I am doing wrong and I am losing my goddamn mind at this point.

            Edit: I literally typed this exact thing out before and it didn’t work. I do not understand why it is working now.

              The old Reddit >!spoiler!< markdown isn’t natively implemented in Lemmy, but a few apps have implemented it manually.

              This is how your comment appears in the official Lemmy web interface:
