Im going to make a prediction.

May 2026

• GTA 6 will be delayed again
• Ubisoft will be in some form of recievership / being aquired / assets sold off

I have a couple consoles still in the box, unopened, that ive been holding for other reasons, but Im about to add another reason for acquiring them…

a fallback point incase PC gaming goes completely to shit, ratfucked by corpos. JFC

On the other hand, after they got back together and started making a game again, they did retract the open season ruling on parts of the IP of the game. (they went after Stalcraft and made them change the names of a bunch of the groups since they were 1:1 copying Duty, Freedom, Monolith etc)

however I doubt they will ever do anything with Xray, in terms of enforcing IP . its so old and they’re an Unreal studio now, for better or worse.

A friend of mine is a video game developer, works for a Microsoft studio, has somehow survived like 3 or 4 layoffs and closures the last 5 years.
