I’d much rather chat with a stranger than stare at my phone while waiting around in public. Connecting with strangers over some simple things can be surprisingly heart warming in an increasingly isolating world. Even just chatting about a good deal on soup or enjoying recent sunshine makes my day a little bit better. If you chose to chat with me, my day would be better.

In wet areas or areas during a snow melt, sump pumps are a big factor. Many people have emergency generators or battery back up pumps if their sump pit has a lot of flow.

I used to set my phone as a private number. I’d have to call customers sometimes to confirm times or discuss jobs, but most customers didn’t need access to my direct number and we’d rather them contact the office than contact me directly.

I know this is just a joke, but you should be dressed for the weather outside/have extra clothes and blankets in the car. Just in case your heat dies in the car, you run out of gas, get stranded/stuck.

Also access to shaving products and accessories is getting easier. Hand held electric razors are getting smaller and can do a lot of the work before a blade makes a smooth finish.

That said, as a male i hate shaving my privates smooth. I find the hair acts as a natural lubricant, without hair everything either gets sticky or feels slimy down there.

Fuck off and grow a backbone. Develop policy where the companies can’t sue the government and the government can cancel the deal or alter regulations as needed. If oil is truly that profitable, its worth the risk.

In my province, the premier was able to prevent any lawsuit coming their way from injured cyclists after banning and removing bike lanes. Why do we let rich corporations walk all over us while only showing a backbone to our own populations? Allowing this to continue sets a dangerous precedent that laws and regulations only apply to those who can’t afford to sue against them.

I have friends in these situations where they dropped out and they somehow hold themselves above a minimum wage job with stuff like “I’m worth more than that”, " I’m over qualified to flip burgers", and “i can’t move out on that wage”. I try to tell them they at least have to work some basic position just to prove to future employers you can actually show up each shift. Completing highschool on a resume isn’t just an education. It shows you’re willing to stick through something even if it wasnt fun or got difficult at times and can be one of the first signs to an employer that you have potential to be reliable.

I get it, it does suck making minimim wage and it might not be enough to move out of moms basement tomorrow, but after 20 years in moms basement its gonna take work to get outta there.

Both times I’ve ever been pulled over for speeding the road was empty except me and i was going the average speed people drive on them. 3 people doing 20 over, a cop can shrug and say i don’t wanna pick one to ticket. A single car not only sticks out as speeding more easily, but there also isn’t much of an excuse for the cop not to pull them over.

Counter intuitively, its easier to get away with speeding when the roads are busy because you blend in. The biggest things you want to avoid when speeding and busy is agressive behaviors and frequent passing. Make it seem more casual and you will blend in with the flow of traffic.

But doing 55 in a 65 isn’t unreasonable, and 95 is pretty fast and at that speed handling can become difficult on cheap or poorly maintained cars.

There are also conditions where 30 is what you’ll do on a highway if its a blizzard and you’re stuck behind a plow truck.

Certainly cheaper than paying for a police cruiser and all their equipment and wages. Its also less likely for the camera to be racist, be bribed, or shoot someone.

Cars are so common and speeding ignored for long we’d probably need at least double the amount of cops to enfroce traffic if we got rid of red light and speeding cameras.
