FWIW PG&E is the entire west coast - WA or OR is probably lower cost of living than CA. It’s also a pretty terrible company from what I’ve seen. I’ve surveyed a lot of really nice power grids and then I visited CA and saw what they call a utility pole… Not to mention every year it seems like they burn down half the state.

Those recent LA fires had PG&E releasing public statements saying it absolutely wasn’t them this time, before anyone even suggested it was.

People think I’m some sort of TV repair wizard but it’s very easy to fix up dumpster TVs if you have a little patience and space. Broken TVs fall into two categories - broken screen or broken board (doesn’t turn on, error screens, flickering). Stick to more popular models and when you find a broken screen, take the board and note the model. When you find a broken board of the same model, just swap it. It usually really is that easy. You can work in the opposite direction too and collect good screens waiting for good boards, but that starts to take up a lot of space quick because you’re storing whole TVs at that point.

You will also inexplicably find a fully working 55" TV sitting at the dumpster 10% of the time.

I’m not a fan of AI generated stills, but I’ve seen a number of AI generated music videos that are kind of fun to watch. It’s not so much the art itself, but the way it collapses from hallucination to hallucination repeatedly that just goes well with some music I guess. Theres obviously still a lot of work from actual artists to make it into a video and time it with music, and the music itself of course is still human (afaik). Here’s a few examples I’ve seen, I’d love to know what people think of this style specifically, as opposed to the AI slop photos we are getting bombarded with. Especially if you hate it, I want to hear about why!
