Maybe but it’s still what I experienced 🤷

Yeah well it’s more of a fun recommendation, don’t take things so seriously. There are already enough serious recommendations in the comments.
The age ol convenience vs privacy. But fair that is user friendly
The Miyoo Mini Plus. It’s a Gameboy Linux Emulator device. Besides being able to run most games up to ps1, you can also put ebooks as pdf or epub on it.
All big 3, Signal Telegram SimpleX, are just go to app store install, and send invite to contacts. SimpleX gets framed as technical and dissuades new users from installing, while it’s just as easy as the other 2.
Bit the gist of this comment section, lots of signal users because it’s the standard alt. SimpleX has better anonymity than both Signal and Telegram, which should make it way more popular for the privacy conscience.
Have it on always on, with small scale friends and family use. Don’t find it too draining, updates have improved the battery usage
Signal and Telegram both require user ID to use their apps. SimpleX-chat does not, zero registration. So if privacy is your number one whish from your messenger than SimpleX is what you’re looking for.
Good projects require money. And SimpleX is still way better than Signal and Telegram, so imo it’s worth supporting and using
Was about half a year back for a school survey. 6 - 10 participants and 1-5 survey lists. So it wasn’t even that much, but at some point I reached a limit.
So not even that big of scale but it still came up
Limesurvey is good, but requires a payed plan for large scale surveys.
Yes but too often distros, and their communities, rely on the ol’ : just read the docs.
And those docs than point to other docs that point to other docs.
True but if you’re distro offers a good enough user experience then you won’t be spending nearly as much time in docs, as opposed to just enjoying your desktop.
Being for more “technical people” is just a lame excuse for bad UX.
Right there with you brudda
Ah Monero, a privacy powerhouse of a solution against centralized banking, truly a beautiful piece of tech. But sadly cursed with the crypto stigma that even seasoned privacy veterans are afraid off.
Hope some day people will set aside their cryptophobia to use Monero, the only true private digital currency. Why else do you think so many countries and goverments try to ben it. Because it actually works and they can’t control it.
Even your comment got downvoted… But hey once they called GrapheneOS, Linux, Signal etc. users crazy…
Hmmm the Signal users sure like it, will have to take off my tinfoil data hat and give it a try
