  • I don’t think it seems like anyone here coming with credible reasons, yet want to provide answers? For what reason do you answer when you clearly are making up / wishing things?

Anyway, the price is controlled by huge hedge funds and the publics want of a stock or despise of a stock makes no difference in any way, because even if they buy shares on their little apps, they will never own shares. Nobody seems to understand the vast differences between normal people and the playmakers? If everybody, exactly every normal person sold or bought at once, nothing would happen. Zero change because they don’t own any shares. They have a little contract with their broker apps that they might pay the difference. They have no obligations and act more like a betting agency, and sell the data to hedgefunds. The only thing that actually trades are robots and they are placed in the exchanges locally to have zero latency and then the algorithms find good spots to put bundles of orders to trick other algorithms. The most shares are sold and bought off market to not impact this insane irrational game that seems always seconds from breaking down

  • Taking amphetamines improves this ability and can fix your issue. But the reason, is because you don’t enjoy this as much as writing code. You enjoying what you do gives you executive power and control over what you focus on, and getting more money is not something that allows you to overcome this, if it’s not stimulating, it’s not as easy for you to do it. Jk but I took the route of doing what I love and damn the money. I have to use what dopamine reserves and energy I have on other things in life, household and stuff, and if both drain me I am not as capable as if I adjust my priorities. And I have kids so it’s not hard to choose really. I still count this as a blessing, since when I do stuff I love and they don’t bore me, I can enjoy hyper focus and productivity, and then have energy for life too

  • I did it. Stopped being a hobby because after work you will be tired of it, it’s not healthy to code more. All you are doing is giving up what you code for money, and that’s sweet, but eventually it is eroding to be told how and what to code which kills the fun, especially if you adhere to efficiency frameworks and work really hard

You think I don’t know but I have had a life full of that. It’s hard but it doesn’t matter if you realise they don’t mean that. They mean well. They mean “just” as a way to help. It’s useless to mark that. It’s helping no one to whine about that or to vent. It helps to realise it’s a wrong assumption of why they say “just”

Intentions are much more important than words

I am not wrong. Just old.
