What a horrid perversion of the very human experience of art. Miyazaki would want nothing of this.

Athens Porchfest in Georgia is like that. It’s noon to 8 pm and it’s about 200 bands performing on over 100 front porches across multiple neighborhoods - for free.
Thank goodness PocketPC and later Windows Mobile 5/6 were much better designed. I still prefer my Palm device, tho.
Check out his stuff some time! There’s a bunch of his music over on his ModArchive page, and he composed for a buncha games like Crusader: No Remorse, UT99, and Freelancer.
I’m on a tracker music binge right now, and God damn there’s a good reason that Epic hired Necros to compose for Unreal and UT99. Got a lot of his tunes on repeat in my head right now.
I’ve never heard of zeuhl before, but just the first introductory paragraph on the wiki page for it has me deeply interested! Got any good album recommendations for a newcomer to the genre?
Lots and lots of stuff by the Apples in Stereo lately! I also fell in love with Manuel Göttsching’s album E2-E4 which was apparently quite influential for house music, despite not being a dance track.
Haven’t had it yet but I so gotta try out khachapuri from Georgia.
Nah get the Dutch to retake it and rechristen us as Niewe Amsterdam. I want my coffeeshop weed.

Not if I give ya the cold shoulder.
Cassettes can sound great if ya got Type III metal tapes. Lots of cheap tapes were Type I, which don’t sound nearly as good.
VHS tho nah, as nostalgic as I am for it, it’s just a bad option today lol
You can install a hard drive and burn your games to it.
Lately I’ve been looking into Brian Eno’s solo works, alongside exploring experimental electronic albums. Trying to find new sounds and textures for inspiration!

Pop a low dose gummy, get into the creative spirit, and experiment a shit ton with electronic music and textured synths/processed samples.
Yeh! You should look into the Elephant 6 collective if ya like NMH, since they were a part of that scene. A lot of the folks who recorded on In the Aeroplane played and recorded in other bands like the Apples In Stereo, the Olivia Tremor Control, and there were heaps of other bands that played with 'em in Athens.
It’s a Neutral Milk Hotel lyric, actually!
Evidently, yes.
