Nah, it’d have been overkill for sprites. The sprites were based on models built using insanely expensive work stations, digitized into 2D sprites to fit on a SNES cart.

I saw a grey snubnose pistol toy somebody left lying around at a rental shop when I was like… 5? It was exactly like the one I had, but mine was green and I wanted the realistic grey. Felt so bad about it once I got home that I hid it and never touched it, and then it eventually went missing.

I’m not even gonna lie, chief, if somebody shows me any kind of luxury fashion like that and boasts that it costs more money than I’ll ever see in my lifetime, I’m just gonna ask if it was worth the human suffering incurred in the making of these luxury goods.
