Do you know how many non-americans casually use the n word be cause they don’t understand the repercussions? It’s all the fuckin time, especially among white Europeans.

Firstly, FairLife is Coke, not any sort of small brand. Second, to say they abuse animals is misleading since they don’t own farms. There’s currently a class action against Coca-Cola and FairLife over them supplying from shitty farms that abuse animals. Some people will say support for is the same as the act, but I don’t think FairLife being deceptive is equally as bad as the farmers themselves mistreating their livestock.
Okay then what about the highway exit near my home? I can’t see when people get into a turn lane and I can turn left from my off ramp. If they’d just all signal that they’re turning my life would be easier.
This is just true regardless of if the turn lane crosses traffic or not.
Leach wood ashes with water to make lye. Soap is easy
Hey, maybe you’ll be the most successful neolithic brain surgeon and only kill half your patients
Lol, I just left another comment saying how when I pulled all-nighters back in school, energy drinks in particular were a trap that would knock me the fuck out if I’d had no sleep.
I remember when I used to pull all-nighters, I came to think of caffeine as a trap. If I was on 18+hrs of no sleep, 1 energy drink and I’d be passe out in 10 minutes.
If I’m understanding umit correctly, it’s more like they only experience the emotions of a situation in that situation and memories lack that cognitive association with those emotions.
Genuine question, is this really the reason why? If it’s between this (which I also feel is a pretty low point) and ads, I felt Lemmy would be full of the people who’d rather pay.
I also have a hard time with ID politics and the like, but I’m also a privileged white dude so my primary gripe will always be focused around economic disparity. The BLM protests helped me see it this way: There is not war but the class war, but there are multiple fronts. If we don’t at least try a little to protect minority groups, we won’t have any progressives left
Yea, even down to the name, Deicide has a very “we’re the devil worshippers your pastor ranted about” look.
I feel that pain. It’s like that “worst she can do is say no” thing. When I was 12 my friends were joking about who another friend should “date” (ofc in the capacity that 12yos manage that) and someone JOKINGLY suggested me, I even laughed along for a second. Her answer, rather than laughing along or something, was a deadpan “eww”. That fucked my confidence for years
Yea that’s my issue in this argument too. Saying forums are replacing everything, or even that that’s a big problem is like saying “Swords are disappearing from warfare and that’s a problem” in the late 15th century. We don’t need forums for everything because the format isn’t the only tool we have anymore.
Fuck College Board with a rake. Seriously awful when college is already so expensive.
So I’m scrolling back up to reply to you after reading more. I actually don’t see most of the capitalist comments lol. I see a bunch of replies to removed comments that really don’t tell me anything about how the other side is replying.

This is a little over your price point I think, but it hits all the details! My ears don’t do well being pressed on so can definitely say it’s the most comfortable headset I’ve worn. Battery has lasted a while too! Mine is pushing 4 years old and still going very strong.
English is normally “putting the cart before the horse”. Mind if I ask what country uses ox for such a similar saying? I just like language quirks
Also fuck that guy and good on you for telling him to fuck off with his nonsense.
Tartaria. Hands down worst.
I know the origin. My point is that doing something monstrous with vampires instead of making them some misunderstood character or a hot anti-hero is REFRESHING AND DIFFERENT. You don’t need to innovate to do either of those things. In fact I think it’s even more impressive that they chose to remake a silent film and do it as well as they did. Bill Skarsgard was creepy AF.
Nobody gonna at least honorable mention Walmart? It’s been a bane on local small business from the start, but it’s also been funnelling wealth out of communities.
When employees have to both live off assistance AND can only afford to ship at Walmart with their employee discount, more wealth goes to Walmart than they ever pay the employee and the community just gets poorer all the meanwhile.
