To answer the titular question: NO THE FUCK IT IS NOT and I have at least a few calibers reasons why.
Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I’ve spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.
Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.
Just don’t ask who what’s in the pattern buffer.

I use my cell data in my bedroom because it’s more stable than my router connection. I wish I had control of the router, but it’s not my house. I’d just move the router to a more centralized location instead of the farthest corner.
Back before I moved, I kept the router at one of the reduced power modes it had built in(can’t remember the exact settings) since the room it sat in was the best room for signal distribution, you still got full signal anywhere you went.
Not great.
Last night my house flooded and I’m still cleaning up water and nasty shit. Everything smells like piss.
It triggered a fight over the fact that I still don’t have a full time job despite months of looking, and we are stuck in this place until I find something better than 3rd party labor.
My vehicle is leaking gasoline while running and the shocks are fucked but I can’t afford to fix it. My wife’s vehicle needs transmission work.
Also… gestures wildly around the US
Depression is a bitch and I don’t have insurance to go to a therapist or get my broken tooth fixed.
So yeah. Not great.
That’s why I specified or wingtip vortex.
In some situations you can see a trail behind a wingtip that can persist. although doesn’t leave the huge vapor cloud that lingers for hours, I have heard plenty of people conspiracy nuts refer to them as “Chem trails” right along with the actual contrail. Living near an airport, you get all kinds of crazy.
If the state decides to ignore any kind of court telling them otherwise, then I would imagine Florida would no longer have flyovers from any airline, and any aircraft capable of producing a contrail or wingtip vortex would no longer operate in the state.
Goodbye florida airports, I guess.
Oh okay, I’ll continue buying from businesses that only pay LIP SERVICE to nazis, and be sure to closely observe each business that does this to determine which actually believe the nazi rules they comply with instead of just pretending to.
When a fascist regime says jump, and all the businesses jump, you don’t stop and ponder which businesses only pretended to jump.
Oh hey, this reminds me I wanted to get a couple mould king star wars kits.
I built one a few years ago and it was great.
It’s a shame lego bent the knee.
In fact, I’d wager that they accomplish the opposite of what they claim. How many people see their reaction to mods, and decide “nah I’m not buying anything from them”
I know I do that. I’m sure others do too. So now rather than buying the game to mod, I’m avoiding anything from the company for quite some time.
The pearl clutching of many non-north American people is becoming nearly comedic.
It’s always been “you shouldn’t lump everyone on that label as the same because they aren’t” up to now, so it sure is “confusing” as to why suddenly all Americans bad.
I’ve had more conversations than I can count with people I would never be able to talk to in person, all using our own native languages.
The original posts are in English, people comment in their native language, and I use a translator, then respond in my own language. Is the translator perfect? No! Neither is theirs.
With the way most translators I’ve used work, it’s easier for the non-native speaker to try translating, since the translator might try and use different words that entirely change the meaning, but likely list possible alternatives. A native e speaker will understand the alternatives while a non-native speaker probably won’t.
That’s my thought process anyway.
Never had anyone who wasn’t pearl-clutching or virtue-signaling complain about it. And I’ve had tons of conversations with people I’d never have talked to otherwise.
Nothing says “we are a free and open community that welcomes others” like moderators banning discussion of poor moderation.
Yes, I do understand what the rule is there for. No that doesn’t make it any less hilariously shitty.
Armada and Armada 2.
I really like RTS games.
Hi, gender is a spectrum and while I fully identify as male and straight*, I had long hair as a child. If my school had tried to cut my hair by force, I would have absolutely thrown hands, and I was not a small child. Apparently I pushed a teacher into a wall as a first grader but I have no memory of doing so.
Hair is not “gender conforming” unless you’re the most vanilla, thinks-flour-is-spicy, “mayonnaise has too much flavor” basic bitch in the universe. If you really think hair has two genders “long and short” then you are just the saddest sack of shit.
Hair is whatever the fuck you want it to be. I decided I didn’t want long hair anymore, so I started getting it cut short. I even had it around 1/4in at one point just because of how easy it was to be done with. Now it’s long because before I got married, my now-wife said she liked when it was longer, so I’m growing it out again until we decide it’s long enough or I get tired of it again. If I wanted to shave most of it right now, I can do that. Nobody controls my hair but me, and nobody has any say in how I keep it, short of safety concerns. (protip: hair ties and a hair net when working with rotary tools, once you’ve seen a video you never want it to happen to you)
Get the fuck out of here with this weak ass bullshit policing children’s hair.
They won’t be happy until everyone is a straight white silent and obedient clone of each other.
*It’s a spectrum, sometimes I want to feel pretty so if you had to stick me in a hole I’d say I’m straight but I’m sure someone could make a convincing argument that I’m at least a little fluid.
It’s like trying to hold water in your hands.
The tighter you squeeze, the quicker it’s gone.
Beware that Nvidia cards have driver issues, they’re fixable but if you do have an Nvidia card, I’d just use the built in graphics chip for trying out Linux at first.
Well, shit. Extra work for me. I knew I should have waited for the AMD series to be in stock…
I know just enough about Linux to know I should have been getting into it when I graduated over a decade ago.
I also know just enough to know it can do pretty much everything I need, as long as I’m willing to switch to a Linux alternative with similar capabilities.
However, I am Linux-dumb and deeply set into my windows, to the point where I’m not sure I have the technical savvy to switch.
From my understanding, Linux works very well, as long as you know what you’re doing.
I’m sure I’m overestimating the learning curve but it’s still intimidating.
My wife bought a bunch of books to keep herself occupied at work
She wasn’t able to choose a book to read next and ended up having a mild anxiety attack.
So I made a chart of books, gave her a d20, and once she finishes one series she rolls the die and reads whichever book she rolled, or rerolls if needed.
Well, I’ve only seen d9 and chappie, so I’m not too hopeful.
Honestly it’s more “I’m so tired of remakes” but hey, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by movies before.
Fingers crossed its good.
Lmao this will be so neutered and watered down it will be unwatchable.
$5 says they make it a generic action movie with no deeper meaning than “bugs needed killing we just defended ourselves”
Ugh. They always try to get you with the shipping… Pass.
