Yes they artificially increased sales by FOMO by announcing a delisting date like 6 months after launch
In this way people thought “OMG better paying NOW $60 for this collection of decades old games or I’ll lose the chance in the future”

I was emulating the GameCube on a athlon64 15 years ago; the switch is underpowered but not that underpowered
No, it has been delisted from the shop, otherwise why people would pay a subscription for playing that
I wanted to encrypt against physical theft but then I realized that the server weighs 20kg and there’s more valuable and lighter stuff to steal. And a thief would never be able to mount the zfs array, they’ll just fence my $2000 server for $50 and someone else will sell it piece by piece on ebay. And between people who buys used drives online on ebay almost nobody is going to do a full surface scan of a 12tb drive in the hopes of finding valuable data.
The value of a private company is a number that can be pulled from their ass, right?
Before: there was an idiot that wanted to pay $54.20 for each of the 800 million publicly traded shares = 44 billion valuation even if the yearly earnings after all expenses (EBITDA) was only 680 million (data public, as required by sec) so the board sued that guy to force him to pay when backed down as that valuation was insanely high and the board would never get such a big golden parachute
Now: we don’t need to publish financial data anymore but CEO says that the company is super profitable, valuation is back to 44 billion, trust us 😉
he does not want to pay $1 for rain sensors and $2 for ultrasonic parking sensors, any price for lidar must be unacceptable
Yes absolutely interesting and weirdly he put way more effort on the “irrelevant” part of the video (I don’t think that the lidar cloud automatically becomes a 3d printable object, especially as perfect as shown in the video, with uniform and smooth rail tracks, usually that’s a painstaking manual step)
well, the video is peak youtube, 19 minutes where the first 9 minutes are completely irrelevant, followed by 6 minutes of repetitive content, then the interesting part that made us click is just 30 seconds, followed by an irrelevant conclusion. It’s more an ad for those two companies that lent the lidar than actual road safety test
They never had lidar, in addition to radar they removed the ultrasound sensors for parking, which is stupid because they cost like $2 and for parking they’re much better than cameras. Same for the rain sensor. Why use a $1 rain sensor that always works reliably all the time in any visibility when you can do that with cameras and complex algorithms?..
The lidar car in the video is a modified Lexus prototype (came with radar from factory, modified by a third party, with Lexus branding blacked out and replaced with the third party name)
Afaik at the moment there are no cars in the market that have lidar (waymo is adding lidar to cars that have only radar as stock)
Nothing against them, it’s just that it totally looks like a conference gift shirt, but indeed fashion brands brainwashed us to daily wear ads
Social pressure is hard. They’ll say “nooo just another round”, instead a “I have to go or my wife will castrate me in my sleep” is much more effective

Funds unfortunately were funneled into Trump slush fund presidential library fund so you won’t get a penny. Sorry about that

Android TV and any file with embedded subtitles. Only external subtitles, if present, are shown. I understood that is because I’m using AMD hardware encoding and I assumed it was unfixable. Didn’t investigate more as I’m going to switch to Intel soon
Not op but in my case it’s the client ignoring embedded subtitles
But even for reddit I only know a person in real life that uses it. I tried to convert him, he said “there are too many Linux apologists” 🤷🏻♂️
I’m 100% sure that the next
FifaEA FC will cost €80 AND will have micro transactions AND people will buy it in millions of copies anyway
