This is exactly why I do the dishes after a good meal. I can’t relax with the thought of a sink full of dishes, they need to be handled!
Nice. Software developer, gamer, occasionally 3d printing, coffee lover.

Not me, but my parents, though I discovered it during a visit.
Bats. They had a bat infestation. This was up at the highest point of the house in the loft, they were remodeling and left the walls open - a hole to the outside let one in, and I guess a bunch decided it was a nice place to hang out. There were dozens.
As for dealing with it - bats are endangered, so you can’t exterminate them. If I remember correctly the total spend was just over 10 grand. This also included installing multiple permanent one way doors so if any bats manage to get in again, they have multiple ways to get out.
There are some things I’ve grown to like. I feel better represented by my choice of instance. I could self host my own, but don’t really want to incur that maintenance. I do like that if my instance were to do something I disagree with, I don’t have to leave the community as a whole like I did with Reddit, and should instead find a new home.
I also kind that it’s easier to filter out the personalities that bother me, since they tend to flock to specific instances. I still have to contend with them occasionally, but that’s no different than Reddit, but less often.
Most of my interactions here have been with reasonable people, even when we disagreed. It does feel a little quiet at times, but that’s ok.
Somehow not surprised I’m at just over 21K spent. That being said, that was from half a decade ago when I uh… Wasn’t as mature. Probably only 1K since then and strictly on games, not micro transactions.
I haven’t played the game, but I would recommend checking out ProtonDB for experiences from people who have.

There are 406 reports, I find it useful to look for reports from people with similar hardware to mine.
I know this is satire but it does hurt. Though in my experience my most concerning code reviews are when I review other senior devs code. Unfortunately my company decided senior devs were a tenure thing.
I work full time at a computer. I have two jobs, so I put in 68 hours a week (second is 28 hours a week, no overlap).
I have no issues with eye fatigue best I can tell, that or I’ve just gotten so used to it. I will note I do have the blue light filter on my glasses lenses my optician recommended.
Ditto. API thing was transition as well
MaM.
When I got into the space I had to find a private tracker, but since then I’ve had no issues with Readarr aside from some series being slow to get their metadata updated, but that’s not a Readarr issue.
I find no discouragement of strategy in the game. Higher numbers don’t always win, unless they’re sufficiently high enough. I can design a fleet with weapon and armor/shield focuses to counter theirs, as well as choosing the engagement style (via the combat computer modes in the ship designer) to counter theirs.
If I don’t want to strategize I can simply wait longer for a bigger fleet and newer tech, but if I want to take on enemies larger than me, especially early game, I have to take the time to strategize.
If I’m using Bluetooth earbuds I can receive a call from Signal or WhatsApp. So it stands to reason it’s possible a Bluetooth device exists to act like earbuds but for a landline phone. I found a few (cell2jack and XLink BT HD) but could not verify if they’d work for anything other than normal phone calls.
The fundraising was for the development of Pixelfed’s source code. e.g. adding new features, bug fixing, etc. - not for currently hosted servers and their infrastructure. So it went to @dansup.
Coincidentally, I just found out about Floorp yesterday, in no relation to this ToS change, and will take a look at it soon. Keep in mind I haven’t looked at all yet, so I have no clue if they have a worse ToS or something.
I mean it sounds like a removable mesh pool fence is what you need. The holes might be permanent, but properly installed inserts would make them less conspicuous.
I hate Comcast/Xfinity with such a passion I tell myself if I had the same hatred for a person I’d be in jail for murder.
Not only did they impose their “trial data caps” in my area and charge me out the ass for going over 2TB a month, I acceded once to being upsold and was told it was completely reversible within a month. After realizing the sales shithead lied to me about the features, I called to revert. Guess what? They couldn’t. It wasn’t something they could do. Fortunately I recorded all my calls, but even with that it took me more than 30 hours of phone and chat time to get it fixed, and the agent who finally helped me had to setup a recurring account credit to fix it. Absolutely horrid. She basically clarified, without saying it outright, that the sales shithead lied to my face because they’re practically encouraged to.
Long story short my home purchase decision was influenced greatly by those shitheads not being in the area, and just seeing an ad makes me want to vandalize it. It’s the only thing I hate with this much passion.
My first impression from the adhesion issue (which doesn’t appear to be the main issue of this post) is that you may need to clean your build plate. But considering it was relatively good as it is, I assume you did and the few spots may just be accidental touches to the surface. In either case, their guide is here: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/filament-acc/acc/pei-plate-clean-guide
As for the extrusion issue - considering the apparent randomness of it my guess would be either an issue with the filament or a partial clog.
While there is some credence to “you can’t truly learn to live another until you learn to love yourself”, I think we king as you approach a relationship with the right mindset you don’t have to love yourself / be happy. Right mindset being the operative word.
Anecdotal, but back when my depression was even worse I approached them as a “if I can’t be happy I want to dump 110% of myself into the relationship to make my partner happy”. It doesn’t take alot to understand why that’s such a bad approach. As long as you find someone who you can trust with your weaknesses and be trusted with theirs, maintain a open line of communication, and generally be comfortable around I don’t see why not.
In getting mixed vibes. It feels like it’s people with no relationship prospects (for whatever reason, and I can attest to this as one of them) who might tend toward the “2d girls > 3d girls” crowd getting a harsh reminder. That and the music.
