Id prioritize GPU above all the other parts. That is going to be the single biggest price hike IMO.

Any CPU you can drop in your existing motherboard is likely already in your country and shouldn’t be affected by any tarriffs, AM4 CPUs are no longer being manufactured AFAIK.

DDR4 RAM is fairly cheap at this point, adding another 16GB would be good, more than 32GB total isn’t really gonna improve performance much.

Going to full NVME storage (if you are using a SATA SSD/HDD) is also a pretty big upgrade.

Also it is goddamned wonderful as a GPU 😍 ive been replaying Far Cry 6 with maxed out… everything. At 4k, and I’ve got roughly 100 FPS stable. Its absolutely gorgeous

I had luck with Microcenter last week (if you have one near you); checked their website at my preferred location and they had 9070 XTs in stock, went after work and I got one.

I would add Rebels. First season is a liiiiittle more kid friendly and toned down than it really needed to be, the rest of it is fantastic and finished the story of Darth Maul.

Ehh, 4 was fun till the inevitable point that the Bethesda effect kicks in; the difficulty scaling is janky so you’re overpowered and/or something in your save broke so you can’t technically finish the game.

Mind went completely blank and i spaced out.

I’m writing notes on my thoughts as i think of them now, its easier to compile my thoughts that way and if its written down i wont have forgotten absolutely everything like it’s the day of a test in school.

Once I’ve got enough notes I’m going to try another appointment and just… hand the psychologist the list of notes.

Tbh chromebooks are amazing as a concept for people like this. Barring proprietary junk like adobe, if they need more than that, they should be able to develop the skills to do basic things in linux without too much difficulty. Likely wont even need to touch any command line stuff.
