not go around trying to police what everyone else says about the accused online
“don’t police others”
shut the fuck up
“I will police you”. “do I say, not as I do”
Bro, the article says it’s phrased as cloud seeding and that they want to “debunk” chemtrails, but read the rest of the article about how it’s being presented by De Santis and others. The bill is also being sold for the electorate that believes this will ban chemtrails.
You’re not levitating above the rest of us with your big brain.
If your argument is that you’re free to have an opinion, that’s not much of an argument. Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.
Either you’re over-estimating the intelligence of the politicians that did this, or underestimating the stupidity of the people who are for the bill. I’m not sure yet which it is.
That’s your opinion. Him being an asshole or not is neither proof (nor lack thereof) of his guilt. And if you know for sure he’s a rapist, submit the proof to the court. The alleged victims would be very happy to have it.
How do you know? What evidence do you have?
Should everybody just be judged by the way they look?
Alternatively phrased: Florida proposes ban on planes from flying in or over it.
The important word here is “charged”. He hasn’t been convicted. Until it’s been proven, I don’t think anybody here can claim to know that he’s innocent nor guilty.
I guess we disagree, but I’m not going to stop people from voicing their opinions and linking them to their official identities.
The problem with the internet is that it doesn’t always forget. That’s exactly why I do my best to keep my accounts separate. However, yes, semantic analysis could demask me in the future, who knows. At least it’ll give me the opportunity to say “that’s not my account”. If something is officially linked to my account, my “genius” thoughts will be bound to me and could easily be found by friends, foes, employers, whatever.
What I’m getting at is: privacy is important. Giving it up should be carefully considered, not simply done by default or thoughtlessly or “because everyone does it”.
Really depends on the skin color of the person visiting and where they are visiting in that country. A non-white visiting most West-European cities will be mostly fine, but if they go out to the country-side, things can be very different.
I watched a documentary of an Indian boy adopted to a Swiss family who then went back to India to visit. He had a terrible time in Switzerland due to racism and nearly as an awful time in India, because he couldn’t speak the language and people thus assumed he was a Pakistani spy.
Way to ignore all context and focus on the one thing triggering you. “This tree in particular, sir!”
What are you arguing? 3rd wave feminism doesn’t exist?
A man of our times!
Wordpress supports federation. Or are you looking for something else?
“what should I say to prove it’s not a knee-jerk response? Oh, I know, double down on the knee-jerk response I had earlier!”
If you repeat it often enough, I becomes the truth in your head.
That what these AI crawler builders should be doing. They should be downloading the wikipedia backup or whatever it is and running their own wikipedia locally. They can download an update once a day or however often the backup is updated. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s some poor intern had to implement a bot, was fired or moved on, and it’s just running with nobody maintaining it. All the while the C-suits are shovelling money into their pockets.
I wish there were a positive instance that had strict moderation. It would be cool to have a place where you can actually turn off for a while and not see anything negative. It could be named wholeso.me or something.
