Nerd, truck driver, and kinda creeped that you’re reading this.

Ah the era before duplex/multiplexing (is that the right term?)
No AMD is fine. You pretty much never need to install anything to get full performance from it, not sure what OP is up to maybe ROCm which is like, AI-related stuff. Not something most people need.
You can buy no OS. Or even no included drive. You’ll save on having to pay the Windows license.

That’s cool.
It would still be even cooler if the app makers just packaged them for distros. Or even just Flatpak.
But that’s a cool project I’ll keep it in mind for my next go with an immutable distro
That’s cool and all but it would be even cooler if you could just install and keep it updated through your package manager
Why don’t you just say progressive then seems to sum it up
Hope that I don’t start the early spread of New World diseases to indigenous Americans
And I’d be dead by the end of the week
Your keys won’t scratch it, your screen is too hard. I can take a knife to my screen (and I’ve tested this) and it won’t scratch it.
What gets most phones scratched is sand or materials with sand in it like some concrete. It has particles of minerals hard enough to scratch your screen.
I tried. But the slightest imperfection and it gets ripped off.
I’m just living that caseless, protector-less life now.
I find the best sorting is Top -> 6 hours. Then just remember that Lemmy isn’t some insane corporate project designed to maximize engagement at all costs for endless growth.
I mean that’s a valid way of tea drinking.
Well for some items it’s definitely easy. Laptop for example just say it’s your laptop. No box or receipt you brought it with you. But it has to be like 1. And it’s still illegal.
Yes. But only one or two things at a time. It’s illegal but like you said if you just say you had it when you entered Canada you’ll probably get away with it.
If you come over with 100 laptops in your trunk you will almost certainly be forced to pay import duties on them.
Basically if you’re trying to save some money personally yes it’s possible. Under a certain dollar amount you can usually even do it legally as long as you don’t intend to sell it. But if you’re planning on making a business out of doing this and selling it in the US cheap then you’re gonna get caught
Oh I never let Windows touch my partition table anyhow. That’s a Linux job.
What image do you put for when you install the BTRFS driver in Windows (yes it’s real and it works pretty well actually.)
For extra unholy fuckery try installing Windows on the same partition as Linux, if you can load the driver that early. Edit: https://github.com/maharmstone/quibble it is possible. May God save our souls.
He had a pretty killer Friday though to be fair
Hopefully not here
Depends on the accent really
But you could also say that word ruins his Haiku
