AFAIK, the “out-of-africa” hypothesis isn’t so much based on skeleton findings.

It’s more based on some thoughts. One of them is that africa has a “high genetic variability” which they see as proof that humanity originated there, even though i doubt the soundness of that argument.

The second reason is some kind of racism: “if africans are really inferior beings, that must be because life originated there and emigrated and africans simply stayed behind in both space and development.” (not my thoughts)

nmap 192.168.1.43/24 will show you what devices are connected to the local network, and what ports are open there. really useful, for example, when you forgot the address of your printer or raspi yet again.

you can also use it to understand what ports on your computer are open from an attacker’s perspective, or simply to figure out what services are running (ssh service).

losetup

it’s useful for dealing with virtual disk images. like a real physical hard disk, but it’s a file on the computer. you can mount it, format it, and write it to a real physical disk.

it’s sometimes used with virtual machines, with iso images, or when preparing a bootable disk.

how is that better than

cat /dev/zero > /dev/null

or

while true; do :; done

“The LNG market is set to rapidly grow” is a lie. Economies are shifting away from fossil fuels, and i guess by 2040 no metric ton of fossil fuels will be transported anymore.

i had a semi-bad trip (on ecstasy) and i think i was just not expecting the effect to be so strong. i took half a pill, and the first hour was intense but the second one knocked me off my feet and made me cry uncontrollably.

still worth it though.

so, my advice to anyone who tries it for the first time is: LOW-DOSE. you have no idea how it will affect you, but you can stay safe by essentially trying with a very low dose first.
