Maxing at 255-260 was almost certainly the speed governor. Most German cars come with a 155-160mph limit from the factory. You can remove it, but rentals absolutely will leave it in place.
Hey, it worked great when Susan Collins took that approach with orangeboi in his first term, didn’t it?
…didn’t it…?
No no even with aerospace, you’re good now. We’re deregulating everything. It’ll be fine. Definitely won’t be catastrophic. Don’t worry about it. 🫠
That sounds like a rad concept for a game. I’d be interested in it.
I would like to once again congratulate drugs for winning the war on drugs
In the context of engineering and technology: it’s a broader issue. It’s a matter of engineers either refusing to accept responsibility and accountability around the systems they build and the societal effects they have, or failing that, the companies that said engineers work for preventing them from doing so because profitability.
I say this as an engineer who has come to care a whole fucking lot about engineering ethics.
lol ok, but HP is still a bag of dicks
Doing illegal things is the new black, haven’t you heard?
Also, how exactly would they catch anyone doing this?
lol ok sure. Fucking go for it. I have genuinely stopped caring about whatever fucking idiocy goes on below the mason dixon line at this point. Fucking confeds.

If you’re not a US citizen - in fact, if you’re not a natural-born US citizen - seriously consider whether you want to go at all. There’s a significantly higher chance they’ll stick you on a plane somewhere and ignore much or all of the bureaucracy that was intended to prevent systemic abuses like this in the past.
They’ve completed 42% of the plan so far. Yes, really. No, not a joke. There’s a site keeping track of it (that I hope is hosted outside of the US).

I mean, yeah, but at the same time, a Nintendo game being a Nintendo exclusive product doesn’t seem that weird to me. If it was an external studio, sure. But it’s the same company. I agree that it’s annoying, but I don’t think it’s an unreasonable tactic if you control the vertical and you actually DO build good hardware and software that play well together, and you want to leverage the multiplicative effect there.
