A while ago I became terribly aware of people writing things like “apostrope’s” to indicate plurality. I was pretty convinced that it was a new thing, but I’ve since found examples of people doing that far in the past! I’m not sure if they were doing it at the same rate but they had been doing it for a while.

I know that some foreign language speakers use this as part of their grammar, but they do so according to a rule system. The people I encounter doing this have only ever known american english and do so without any apparent consistency. If you’re going to alter your grammar in that way, at least make it consistent! Like these weirdos. Professionals have standards.

Rust is a programming language designed to run on crabs. It just happens to also run on computers. When rust programmers talk about the borrow checker, that’s something born directly out of having to run on crabs. It’s difficult to get the little guys to cooperate otherwise. And when they talk about rust having good error messages that’s because of the crabs too. The compiler is not just some piece of software, it’s a piece of software being run on crabs and the crabs have some measure of intuition to them. Basically what I’m saying is that carcinization applies to computer hardware.

I woke up this morning and eleven minutes later I was convinced that I needed to end it all. Luckily things have gone up from there. Exercise is such a stupid trick but it gives my brain the happy chemicals.

I didn’t mean for Pyotr to be my roommate but it just kind of happened. He’s pretty chill though. My place used to be pretty messy but he cleans it while I sleep. He’s totally silent too so I don’t even wake up! Really the only downside is the anemia but I’m taking iron supplements now and that might help a bit.

Plants! Gardening! Bees!! I love growing things and looking at cute bugs. I have a plan to grow a bunch of plants in different containers and I’ve made sure that each of those things should grow well together. I can watch them grow and then eat pieces of them! I crave tomato sandwiches.

Kids already have experience playing hopscotch, so we can just have them jump between the rooves of moving cars in order to cross the street! It will be so much more efficient, and they can pretend that they are action heroes. The ones who survive will make for great athletes too.
