If you’re here, there’s still hope for the internet
Don’t let it fall

How much power is in the hands of the people and not a few companies?
That’s exactly what I’m talking about though. Google, microsoft, and kinda yahoo basically control the entire market. A few providers like fastmail fight over fractions of percent. Email today feel much worse than lemmy
The fact that email is at the top here is clear evidence this is not a good metric dude. Email is not decentralized these days
That doesn’t sound healthy
Yeah we do, they list it in privacy policies. Many of these they can’t really collect even if they wanted to
Did it happen during key development years for you?
Note this is if you use their apps. Not the api. Not through another app.
If we’re talking politically, covid wasn’t the turning point.
If we’re talking socializing, then covid wasn’t the turning point either, however it was sort of a point of no return or something. Not sure how to describe it.
I’ve seen plenty of romanticizing of pre-covid days from people around the ages of 18-23 today. Back when they still had friends and their life together, and they never really recovered from the isolation at a critical point.
You might just be older. A number of keyboards do actually use that data but in the autocorrection phase. I think most people would hate it if the key sizes kept changing
On the other hand we get to look at Maxwell
Damn that’s rough on Other Tim
Considering the upvotes, you guys seem to have filled in just fine
post is too [good] unfortunately
https://hardcover.app/ is another good one.
I use it and storygraph both
Lmao I like the tl;drs on TOS page. Some of them are a little reductive, but it’s still better than making it a giant illegible block
Honestly I prefer to be perceived as a little weird, because then you can be… A little weird without worrying about it.
There isn’t really a what to what I’m afraid of. I’m not sure if it’s better or worse this way
No. I don’t know what that joke is
It’s unusual to want change up your routes?
It’s not that bad for me, but fear of being perceived, fear of being know… It’s all a giant mess
Very complex and inconsistent
