Nah. That was the classical period of the internet with great leaps in learning and creativity. Now it is the middle ages where capitalism/feudalism wrecked all sense of community.

Voting for lesser evil just slows down the evil, it doesn’t reverse it. It’s still going in the wrong direction.
You get a gold star for that.
I haven’t figured out how to get mine to where I was on reddit back in the day. I struggle with finding communities. I often find dead communities. I often can’t find communities I’ve come across in the past when using the search to specifically find them. Any tips on how to solve this labyrinth?
Do a task everyday.
Making sure to keep working on a fixer-upper by doing something everyday will help reach the goal of maintaining rather than falling behind. Focus on things that can get worse faster. Leaks and shorts would be a top priority that should not wait. KNOW HOW TO TURN OFF MAIN WATER AND POWER. Make sure this can be done quickly.
My wife is first. Objective truth is now a secret hobby.
Something like an eidetic memory chip would be splendid.
It’s pretty simple. Dont put your hands where there’s sharp things. I grabbed the sailcat by its tail. Catfish whiskers also have barbs.
I caught a sailcat catfish at night at the beach by hand (no gear). I have also caught some snook, bluegill, blue catfish and bass by hand but it was in a small lake that was drying up and overheating.
I was reading about their grocery bill for the series being over $7 million. American Iron Chef has like 2/3rds of the number of episodes and spent probably only 1/3rd of the grocery bill. The creativity of the Japanese chefs matches that difference.
I used to love watching Iron Chef Sakai. The Americanized shows never reached the grand level of the original show’s Iron Chefs, ingredients, and creativity.
I’m a middle school teacher and Snapchat exists. I am not aware of anything but very possible.
More like homo ignorare, yes?
Like all those current billionaires?
That rational and empirical evidence would cause people to reconsider their intuitive perspectives and lead into constructive conversation.
I had a much better experience with Reddit than a lot of people express. Of course that all changed that year and half ago. But my point is that I was deep into a world of intellectualism on Reddit that I have not found since it was wrecked. I have found Lemmy to be an infant version of that.
It is hard to find communities like I had, if there is any activity in my interests at all. I have not found a news feed as quick as the ones I followed on Reddit if any feed at all. Information sourcing and original content almost never happen. The politics are highly tribal and intellectual here. The science barely exists. The hobbies and special interests have little to no activity. I only have the app on my phone to look for a quick read.
Countries will all take back seat to the all mighty profit. Oh and some bullshit about defending the fabled promised land to keep constituents happy.
I recommend cocaine.
