I’ve never used it but It looks like you’ll need some Monero as a security deposit, and of course there’s is random chance involved in finding a willing seller to accept the gift card. If you pay with the card, remember whoever originally bought it is theoretically traceable by visa.

There are also many sites that will buy gift cards, at a loss. You may be able to use one of them to turn it into fiat.

Also a pawn shop may give you cash for a gift card, idk.
