

blackblogs / noblogs host websites & provide urls for activist groups and campaigns. While in some cases Lemmy might be a better/equivalent alternative, often times its not.
Lemmy is just not as useful for campaigns and long lived activist groups, because the structure and all not needed features distract and make the user experience worse.
Besides this, both hosters have quite a history of hosting and not deleting radical content such as doxxed nazis and claims of responsiblity for militant actions, which is something many Lemmy instances do not have and some would probably deleted specific content based on their server rules.
It should be, but I dont think that Democrats see it the same way. The party as a whole besides some individual politicians is not a party that is ready or willing to oppose the fascists.
They also have a track record of being useless against Trump. They were in power 4 years, Biden promised to bring the country back together and just failed. There is no need to focus on them when resisting Trumpism.
Doesnt mean they couldnt join the cause, but most likely they will do that when they decide to co-opt it so they can win the next election.
