23 days agoyeah the concept is great, but open sourcing often takes a lot of work. closed source code often relies on proprietary libraries etc and you can’t just publish them, or perhaps there are secrets embedded somewhere - even it source control history
implementation faces some pretty big logical challenges
i’d imagine using it would be in a similar category to an emergency exit: don’t unless it’s an emergency; the choice is yours and there are consequences for misuse
