No way! People can type whatever they want?

I love the modlog because it frequently shows both users and mods can be lying. A user who claims they were banned for something other than racism who has three racist comments that the mods deleted or admins of a certain instance who claim any criticism of China is bigotry.

In this case I was entertained by the modlog entry. ‘Spreading lies in other communities’ is pretty funny.

Any baby will do!

You can look yourself up on the modlog to see why you were banned, except in rare cases where they didn’t federate the ban.

I love the public facing modlog.

The moon landing by hand wouldn’t have been as funny without the over the top body builders first.

It is sticky and pretty much ruins clothes.

I enjoyed watching Tom Cruise die over and over and over and over and over.

I have one about an hour away and no luck so far at that location.

Asking if you missed something isn’t rude.

I do out of habit and 99% of the time it has zero downsides and occasional positives. It only borked a game and required rolling back one time that I can remember.

I have a friend who is far more careful about doing their updates because they have frequent problems. Not sure why we have such different experiences.

It is a song influenced by seeing a report about a suicidal jumper, but repurposing the idea into a positive one. Basically, it is saying that instead of a suicide jump someone should take a leap of faith and improve things.

Always hated regular shaving because no matter how close the shave was it was stubbly in a few hours. I grew a goatee because I haged shaving my chin area. A decade later I started growing a beard of somewhere between a quarter inch to an inch in the winter to keep my face warm.

Now I have that short beard year round and occasionally shave the neck when it gets itchy. So much less work, it honestly feels pretty nice to have that little layer of hair keeping my skin an even temp.

Hooray for less effort!

The best thing about college is that for the most part a degree is a degree and only a few fields require one specific to that occupation. So if something seems interesting enough to complete the degree it will be useful for a lot of other fields too.

Yeah, saving $40 a year but spending $500 every three years instead of ten isn’t saving money.

Large upfront costs and the customer won’t notice problems right away because it is new tech and easy to explain small issues away in the short term. Or they can trick people into paying up front and running off without doing any work.

A perfect situation for someone who want to fleece people quickly and doesn’t care about long term reputation.
