  • in brazil, we used to have a law forcing this to be a thing. back in the laptop days, it used to be reasonably common for people to buy one without with linux, and pirate windows later to save money. or because it was plain cheaper.

it turns out brazil fomented a big userbase for linux for a while there. free market my ass, microsoft is an oligopoly. if this ever gets widespread i’m pretty sure adoption will grow for the simple fact people will at least get to fucking try it. microsoft wouldnt take it kindly though.

  • oh i love these things, we got a lot of the previous facelift to that one in decent numbers, kinda wanted one to drive pretty hard.

but in good condition such that it would not turn into a black hole for money, because they can sadly get crazy expensive to fix and maintain where i live. 10-15k usd sounds about right but its a huge amount in south america. like i can get new-ish proper car in great condition for that amount.

  • We can think of a better system that the USSR or USA.

The USSR was literally the first time socialism has ever been tried. Of course we can improve upon and refine the socialism soviets came up with, using the obvious power of hindsight.

Socialism was never meant to be some static ideal truth dogma, and misrepresenting it that way is a strawman.

I also find it kind of weird to lump both like they are the same thing. The US is the bloodiest empire in the world by far.
