Yeah. I go to the post office semi-regularly and I see people complain about this problem; the employees just roll their eyes and say to mark the mail.

Not going to say I haven’t done that but I’d rather stop receiving it at all.
What do you do after doing this for 4+ years for the same person and bank, and you’ve gone as far as showing up in person at the bank’s local branch?
I’ve been doing this for 4+ years for the same person and bank. I even showed up in person to the local branch and spoke to a manager. I’m having the same problem as OP; it never ends.
What’s more: no one (landlord, neighbors) knows who this person is. They’ve even got a business registered at my apartment.
Great point. I always forget that because I would never want to query without encryption.
I think PiHole is using Unbound behind the scenes. What I like about Blocky is not only does the performance to be much, much more solid using an upstream resolver with high latency (VPN exiting in another country), it automatically refreshes the denylists (something I think PiHole has to do in a more roundabout way).
I either feed it the list of ingredients or it finds them itself if it’s a popular item. It’s good at guessing the proportions of the ingredients if you’ve got the label.
I’ve used Unbound for years but recently had to switch to Blocky for some weird reason. It turned out to be way, way faster than Unbound.
As a bonus, blocking thousands of advertising and tracking domains is much easier with Blocky (if you’re into that).
If money weren’t an issue I’d go back to working in fast food or a warehouse. I miss busting ass and being able to clock out at the end of the day.
I always say “web application developer” because I don’t want to be considered a “web designer” (which I consider to mean designing static websites for businesses like restaurants).
I can’t be too specific without giving away my location, but I’ve recreated a sauce that was sold by a vegan restaurant I used to go to that sold out to a meat-based chain (and no longer makes the sauce).
The second recipe was the seasoning used by a restaurant from my home state. In this case the AI was rather stupid: its first stab completely sucked and when I told it it said something along the lines of “well employees say it has these [totally different] ingredients” then got it right.
I’ve used LLMs to reverse engineer some recipes.
The only thing it’s giving you is a craving until the next smoke. That’s it. Those five minutes of “peace” are just a few moments of relief from withdrawal, and 20 minutes later the cycle starts all over again.
I’m in the same boat, but you also have to remember that blocking ads typically involves blocking tracking too. You’re right they the ads are much more bland or misdirected but that’s because there’s little to no targeting data (probably just your IP address).
I’d sell all my things to just travel. Living in one place and being stuck in a routine is like a mental prison for me.
Fuck me that movie was so stupid. I can’t believe I finished it (watching alone).
Interesting; I use Markdown all the time but have never thought about the backslash character. That’ll be tricky to remember since my Lemmy client doesn’t show the text field in a monospaced font (which would trigger “Markdown mode” in my brain).
Is this a Markdown problem? I have this as text replacement shortcut and it actually already contains the missing \
so that’s strange.
Yeah, the language here seems to fall outside what you or I think of as a clique. To me it essentially just means a group of people but clearly there has to be some other definition.
Damn that’s a great idea! Cheers!
