Billy Mitchell is an asshole and Karl Jobst is yet another YouTube outrage peddler, just video game flavored this time. I have a hard time mustering sympathy for either of them.

Congratulations on going above and beyond! As a sign of the company’s gratitude, here is another pile of shit with an even more unreasonable deadline! You got this, Mr. Rockstar!
They don’t always suck, just usually. The HP Reverb 2 was a pretty good VR headset for the price. I felt like I got my money’s worth out of it without any significant issues.
I have seen dozens of systems migrated from Gentoo to CentOS by live swapping the userspace and eventually rebooting into the new kernel. A hair raising experience to be sure.
DNS management. Think something like InfoBlox where I can have GUI driven control from simple adding a new zone record all the way up to full anycast configuration.
I love the terminal and CLIs to death but zone files suck and setting up bind or unbound/nsd is more painful than it should be.
Awesome! I guess I’m a nerd!
DwangoAC and the TASBot crew are maniacs in the best possible way. I would like to continue having a high opinion of him, hence I will pretend that this post does not exist.
This would be my guess as well. A short or a seized fan causing draw to spike in a way the board didn’t like. OP doesn’t give any detail on what “wasn’t booting” means. If it’s failing to post it should still throw you a code in some manner as a starting point.

Cyberpunk ZERO Sievert? Could be neat!
“I see you XcQ” or “XcQ I see you”. It’s not the best mnemonic but it has served me well
Pretty ballsy to put up a long LinkedIn post that boils down to “I am incompetent and should not be hired under any circumstances.”
The GitHub issue was quite the ride yesterday. Today it appears the user is gone from GitHub completely, taking the repo with it.
I’m glad the RPCS3 team jumped on that. The opened GH issue was straight to the point without any attacks or other BS. Good work from them.
Endless shitty trash talk is why most people gave up on public voice chat.
Absolutely. Coincidentally I’m replaying through FF9 and it holds up fine with just some emulator bells and whistles. The art style helps a lot there.
I’ve tried to get into 8 a few times over the years but can never stick with it. I would be very interested in a 7 style remake with refactored mechanics.
Yup. I’m convinced VCs came calling for their ROI so Docker panic-sold their enterprise business to Mirantis. After that they were left with Docker Desktop (aka. burning trash) and their de-facto position as the image registry of note. Once the Docker Hub rate limits went into effect, my company started enforcing fully qualified image names to know exactly what we were pulling from docker.io, and using alternative registries whenever possible.
The hardest part of getting off Docker the company was breaking the mindset of “containers == docker”.
What’s a reasonable price for 250+ hours of unique (not roguelike/proc gen) gameplay with AAA level production values? Just curious, I’m not sure what my own answer would be.
Staying on the Zelda tip, I’ll always have a place in my heart for Crystalis (1990) on the NES. More linear than Zelda but with significantly more RPG elements worked in.
If you want to get even more obscure, both Neutopia (1989) and Neutopia II (1991) for the TG-16 are great! Extremely obvious Zelda inspiration but they hold up well on their own merits.
One of my strongest gaming memories growing up was beating Silver Star Story sitting in a cramped hotel room in the middle of a Minnesota blizzard. My parents let me lug along my PSX on this road trip and I beat the last boss on last possible hit. Like everyone dead but the main character, if I didn’t win this round then the boss would wipe me next time around. I had a full on throw the controller in the air, run circles around the 6’ of open floor space in the hotel room, kind of celebration. My parents… didn’t get it, but that’s okay 😆
I never did get around to finishing Eternal Blue. Maybe this will be my excuse to pick it up again.
It sure is but it also lets you do some side talkin’ so your greasy face doesn’t mung up that beautiful screen! It all balances out.
