Same here. I just installed Proxmox on an old machine, then Coolify, boom… Docker ready without the knowledge. There’s a ton of apps one click away, immich included.

Absolutely on point regarding alternatives. I tried Tails because I hate Windows on my work laptop, and it just sucks for anything you might want to do. Qubes is hard and inconvenient.

I have a GPD WIN 2. Very bad quality overall. It just died after 2 years I think. It won’t even turn on when plugged. On top of that, that tiny keyboard is no better than the deck’s.

These devices are big like a tablet and heavier than a tablet. To type on a tablet, you need to put it down on a table. Same here.

The Steam Deck touchpads allow you to type while you hold it.

Do you run Steam inside gamescope as well ? Their desktop app runs on xwayland, right ?

RE: CLI apps, I use brew on Bazzite, casks aren’t supported on it. Does your setup support casks ?
