  • You’re not a bad person for feeling whatever you’re feeling. It’s your actions that count.

I can forsee some potential issues with it but the worst that is likely to happen is heartbreak. And at that age it’s to be expected from just one boyfriend anyway.

She is almost an adult. Offer advice but at some point she will have to learn to live with the consequences of her actions.

  • LibreOffice, OpenOffice compete with the office suite. Google docs is American but is a big competition with the online variant of office.

Linux and to some extent BSD compete with windows. Munich, Germany had a project to switch away from windows in favor of Linux. Or got cancelled after some other guy got elected, I don’t know the details.

There are a dozen cloud storage competitors. But that is something Microsoft is not dominating the market at anyway.

The government won’t care about gaming but the public opinion would turn against the xbox and windows, which would cause Sony and Nintendo to celebrate.

  • There are a lot of smart engineers that design those.

If you have an external temperature measurement it helps. But it can’t see the difference between a cloudy day and a sunny day.

If you connect it to an online weather service that helps, but it’s still hard for it to know how much the sun heats your home due to big south facing windows for example.

This is something AI could be useful for. Feed it forecast, inside, outside temp and let it figure out how to balance those against each other for your home. I’m not sure there are many systems like this on the market yet.

  • Does leasing the land pay enough to make it worthwhile? Gives you time to think.

If it’s fertile land you should probably use it, or lease it, to grow food.

Farming is not easy. Until you learnt to be good at it you’ll put in a lot of hours into making not much money after costs have been paid.
