How do you setup Huenicorn to sync Hue Bridge?

I just got Huenicorn installed on my Linux desktop. Been struggling to get hue bridge to sync.

I opened the huenicorn executable
Typed my Hue Bridge’s IP Address
When I’m at the API Key screen, I pressed “I don’t have credentials yet”
It tells me to press the central button on my Hue Bridge and I have one minute to press “Register new user”. Tried it several times with no luck.

The Hue Bridge doesn’t seem to be an issue as today I got my light strip to sync to it.
