[email protected] is starting to get more traction, thank you @[email protected], @[email protected], @[email protected], @[email protected] and everyone who posts there
[email protected] an community for alternative gaming is slowly growing at the moment there are 79 subscribers. so far from the 35 post only one is not mine. I get some occasional comments which is nice.
I a pinned thread with a collection of news in a form of a zine somewhat similar to what user PerfectDark does from the steamdeck and games communities. It includes a poll asking if game mods and romhacks should be part of the community and so far I have only 3 votes.
I think part of the issue is that it would be nice to contribute but I’m not always super aware of smaller games that could fit the community.
[email protected] still going strong.
Seems like [email protected] isn’t as active anymore, maybe this will lead to consolidation
The various spaceflight communities I’ve been growing ([email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]) are chugging along nicely, aided by some posts by @[email protected] and @[email protected].
I’ve been able to be a bit more hands-off with [email protected] and [email protected], thanks to @[email protected], @[email protected], @[email protected], and @[email protected]. I’ve started crossposting some posts to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] to build them up a bit.
Attempted consolidation of corvid communities to [email protected] went… poorly, but hey, you win some, you lose some.
[email protected] had a few posts in the past week, which was nice.
I’m still feeding [email protected] with Reddit content, but a couple weeks ago someone other than me posted one!
Memes on [email protected] seem to be getting quite a bit of traction, though the inactivity of the single admin on that instance is a bit worrying in the long-term… might be soon time to consider relocating.
🫶🏾
Likewise :)
Well done, impressive list
Thanks!
crazypeople.online has seen slow but steady local growth as well as growth within the communities we host. We have a few regulars in most communities now and new people engaging with the content more regularly. Here’s the rundown:
Gained ~20 Subscribers
- [email protected] just shy of 200 this week.
- [email protected] exactly the same at 198.
- [email protected] breaks through 100 subscribers this week.
Gained ~15 Subscribers
- [email protected] over 130 this week.
Stagnant Growth
- [email protected] still just over 50.
A BIG THANKS to everyone across the fediverse who participates in our communities. I don’t want to tag the same few people every week but you’re all awesome for helping turn an empty space into communities with a pulse. 🙏
We try to offer some low stress retreats from some of the more headline dominated communities. If you haven’t checked us out you definitely should, you might find your new favorite hang out.
Hey frosty trichs wanted to let you know ive been keeping tabs on your instance love the weedtime community and see you over on trees all the time. I might consider joining sometime :)

I’ve been following the changes to [email protected] recently. Congrats on your recent mod appointment. It’s nice to see the activity picking up over there. Once upon a time I was very active on that subreddit so it’s nice to see it getting some love here. You’re welcome to crosspost to weedtime if you’d like. We probably have a lot of subscriber overlap but it doesn’t hurt to share.

Any time mate. It took a lot of work to get our instance to play nicely with l.w because of their size so it wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all to see some of that traffic migrate here lol.
I’ve been starting to get a few posts (besides me) showing up in [email protected], so that’s good! I feel like there are a few too many communities (there are 7 general Star Trek communities, plus the more specific ones) for the amount of users currently here, but that’s how it goes! The community founder decided not to continue, so I decided to take over rather than let it disappear.

That seems like a lot indeed
I love how different people respond to these threads every time. Really helps me discover cool comms.
Same!
[email protected] still going strong, hopefully we’re getting closer to consolidation with [email protected] and [email protected]
Quite happy with [email protected], thank you for everyone contributing there
[email protected] I made it to post random stuff I couldn’t elsewhere. On rare occasions others post. Satisfied with that tbh since its not like I have a karma score or whatev
[email protected] is off to a great start with over 60 sub’s, I hope someone else whos into detecting on Lemmy will eventually post occasionally too. For now its just me digging holes in my back yard a few times a week.
I recently took over [email protected] the mods were inactive for years and the pinned post were outdated which started to bug me after months.
I didn’t like the description was just “were a replacement for the reddit r/localllama community” with same thumbnail and everything. Fuck reddit, our communities aren’t cheap copycats nor should we treat them that way. So I rewrote the description and helped make some new community artwork. People seem to like the new changes which I’m happy about I spent hours editing and colorizing that stupid purple llama picture.
I also recently became mod of [email protected] and gave it a similar glowup with new art rewritten description and unpinned years old inactive post.
I’m not super big into number tracking except for metaldetecting since thats truly my baby. I hope the communities I look after continue to grow at the speed they were meant to.

That’s really cool, fam, it’s an important topic and I’m glad to see it getting independent support here.
Well done!
[email protected] still getting regular activity
Cos it’s a really nice place to hang out! It’s fun and has a good atmosphere. It’s my favourite one
Thank you for posting there!
[email protected] is doing pretty well. We’re close to a thousand subscribers. One thing I’ve noticed is that even on the occasional days where there are no new posts, we’re consistently getting new subscribers. I’m guessing it’s a testament to the staying power of certain posts and also the fact that the community is pretty high up in various animation/anime/cartoon related directories.
It’s something that’s made me more comfortable with going a day or even multiple days without a new post whereas in the past I would desperately search for anything remotely relevant to post and sometimes find myself a little burnt out because of that. Now, not only are there a decent number of other regular posters but I don’t really freak out too much if I can’t find anything compelling and relevant to post.
Good to hear !
[email protected] is going great, we got some new mods and frequent posts, I’m building up a backlog of music to listen to!
first day for [email protected]
focused on traveling Q&A and a podcast i started
