It’s probably 2 years since anyone in the house used our bikes.
Tires all flat, but the brakes were still sharp and didn’t need re work. But it was funny seeing that my son totally outgrew his bike, we need to get a new one.
We went for one quick test around the block, and no minor adjustments, so we followed up with a 10 minute tour.
Wishing next time will be less than 2 years from now.
I saw my neighbor cleaning their bikes and using a bike stand. I don’t have a bike stand. Is it something worth investing in?
Really nice and you can sometimes get them on marketplace, thrift stores, or used sporting good stores.
Depends on how often you might use it. It does make tasks a lot easier. Also if you just need the bike to be vertical for tasks but don’t need the bike wheels up off the ground I picked up the front quick release axle that has built in angle brackets, I have screwed this mount to a block of wood. So If I’m cleaning or adjusting nuts, I take off front wheel and mount the forks in the special axle.
In my opinion very much, yes. Bought one at Lidl (30 Euro), and it’s a really solid build and works even with heavier and bulkier bikes.
I love sitting on a bench and having the parts I service on eye level :)
