I’m amazed anyone uses a cars navigation system… The newest car I’ve used, a Volvo v60 MK2, has a decent nav… But I can’t see the point when my phone will give me live traffic, with reroutes, accidents, stopped cars, and more.
I… Just don’t see the point to most in-car tech (android auto, for instance). Just plug the phone in and mirror it to the display if you have to.
And give me my Aircon buttons back please, I hate trying to change temperature while driving.
Not so much boring man as grumpy tech enthusiast who’s shocked how bad the ux is on 90% of modern tech.
Also, I can’t have my car play map in my instrument cluster, I use that constantly to get a general overview of the local area without looking at my infotainment screen, as it is quicker
