Hi all!
I’m wondering if anyone knows of a lemmy tracking site that records community level stats in time series/graphs?
I’m thinking for things like,
- active users,
- subscribers,
- comments,
- posts.
I use, Lemmy Verse which has all the stats above at Community level, but its only the latest updated number, not presented in timeseries.
I also use fedidb which does have some timeseries graphs, but only at Server level.
I would be interested in this as well.
I wish a basic analytics suite was built into Lemmy.
The number of subscribers has reached 311 Still very little participation in [email protected] , we’re slowly getting close to a hundred more subscribers since the day I started trying to revive the community (which is great). But there is very little participation (quality content, but still very little).
I realize it’s a niche community but I do wonder what I could do differently to encourage more people to post so the community would really start to feel alive instead of being kept on life support, like I feel it is now.
That said, I’m in no hurry so I’ll keep on regularly posting only less often than I was doing—seeing how things are not moving much I reckon there is not much use in me keeping posting stuff every few days, and not even once every week.
Well, I’m trying to help out but in the end I’m not really a journaler, nor do I have any desire to become one. I’m sorry.
Please, don’t be sorry. I’m real glad you gave it a shot and participated in the community (thx!). There is no requirement to be a devoted journaler to participate. Also, maybe later you will to give another try, who knows?
BTW, if your realization is something you would like to discuss more do not hesitate to do it there too. Not enjoying keeping a journal is 100% legit, no matter the reasons, and I’m pretty sure it could be interesting to discuss it with others.
Just passed 100 members and got 160 upvotes on a post in [email protected]. It’s alive!
Every comm I start tends to be active when I post in it. I see plenty of life in lemmy which is a great sign for the future. YPTB seems to be becoming a critical part of the overall meta discussion which feels like a uniquely lemmy phenomenon as I didn’t remember anything like that in reddit.
+10,000 as to YPTB becoming a critical part of the infrastructure. It brings transparency and community consensus to the whole endeavor of moderation, which I think was exactly what was needed to bring it out of the reddit weirdness and into being a balanced endeavor.
What is YPTB?
Thanks!

YPTB is definitely needed. Quite a wild ride recently with the whole [email protected] saga
We have a lot of sagas. Drag, 196, Luigi. Like one per month at least :D
Indeed :D
Learned last week than a few people are still posting on https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected]
It’s only visible to LW as the instance now shut down
First post by someone else on [email protected] , thanks @[email protected] !
Also contributing to [email protected] with cute drawings
Thank you! I’m trying to participate in other communities more. I gave [email protected] its first posts, and they went well.
My progress hit a snag when a link I posted ran a foul of lemmy.world’s automod and it banned me for a little bit. So, I participated in [email protected] and an admin fixed the problem.
Happy with the progress on a few “alternatives to ml/LW communities”
Still trying to keep a few hobbies communities active
still I am the only one who is posting in !schizophrenia.lemmy.ca
yeah, Thank you for the correction
[email protected] is doing well! I’m trying to post and comment as much as possible and thankfully there is some other activity going on besides mine as well.
[email protected] (I’m part of the mod team but as Blaze pointed out cross domain moderation is not working very fast) is kinda dead still, but I’m planning to start posting myself soon enough.
Getting some decent interaction on [email protected] . got called shit mod because my ai gave a non bias summary of an article they disagreed with lol.
To be fair, there’s no “no bias”, even with GenAI. The model has been trained with biased data.
Tried to post to [email protected] , turns out funny content is hard to come by nowadays
Still busy with [email protected] competing with [email protected] , maybe this one will never end
