Donkey Kong 64 has a widescreen toggle in the options which I don’t think you’re using. This looks like 4:3 stretched to 16:9, you’ll have a better time with real widescreen.
Rare were pretty good about this, after the first few games (Blast Corps, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Kazooie?) they started putting widescreen support in most of their N64 releases.
Yeah I’m gonna switch it, I forgot all about that option!
GoldenEye had widescreen mode too.
I always wondered, who had a widescreen TV in the 90s? I never even knew they were a thing till I saw the options in the games for them.
Banjo-Kazooie did not have widescreen but Banjo-Tooie did
Admit it, you’ve just been getting down to the DK Rap.
I usually do let the song play for a little bit before starting
April, hit it!
Take it to the fridge!
is that a VHS/DVD combo unit? You are really going into the retro thing.
Hell yeah it is!

Yes! He’s finally back!
DK! Donkey Kong!
That game seems to get picked on these days, but back when it came out my brother and I were all about it. How’s it hold up?
Still a ton of fun to play but I forgot how frustrating it can be. Some janky controls but that’s part of it’s charm
There’s a mod that lasts you switch characters instantly which makes the game a whole lot more fun
The only way to play this game is Kong barrel anywhere code, it fixes 95% of the games tedious backtracking
Based
Ngl that’s cool but what’s cooler to me is the light up LG logo
