    We’re in a conundrum here:

    • The elections were rigged
    • The Constitution is a living document but ultimately didn’t take into account technology:
      • First Amendment didn’t anticipate the internet and how much quicker information flows. It also didn’t take into account that there could be financial and lethal repercussions.
      • Second Amendment didn’t anticipate weapons that only the government or wealthy could have. You might have a shotgun, but they have the ability to wipe out entire cities if push comes to.
    • People are in such dire straights living paycheck to paycheck with health insurance dependent on a job. Who wants to risk any of that when they have a family to support?
    • The Democrats who could have put a potential halt to this getting any worse are STILL thinking they can get changes after the Midterms

We’re stuck, nobody really knows what to do besides protest. Unfortunately, I think it’s going to come down to life and death decisions before there’s any hope of change.

Shitposting doesn’t solve anything but if it helps some people relieve a little stress 🤷🏻‍♂️

We’re stuck, nobody really knows what to do besides protest.

      In addition to protests:

      1. Joining and organizing within your local community to create connections with others is incredibly powerful, and will lay the groundwork for effective resistance.
      2. We can effect things drastically with a general strike. This would massively impact their income streams, and can bring a fascist government to its knees if done on a large enough scale.
      3. Join the IWW and attempt to unionize your workplace, so that the general strike is even more effective (plus you’ll get better pay and benefits!)

If we put in the work, we can resist this and we can win. Join up with allies while we still can easily!

The founders had privately owned warships with the most modern cannons available, and wrote the second amendment in the context of a government with no standing army that organized common defense via militia.

The idea that individuals could wield enough power to level cities was never anathema, merely assumed not to be an issue due to the financial limits on the size of mercenary companies in that age.

I don’t think the last elections were rigged outside of propoganda but it does knock me over the elected officials who seem to be working toward the midterms when its pretty obvious to me the administrations plan is for midterms to not happen in any meaningful way. Either not happening or really rigged.

They were rigged in all the same ways the Republicans have been trying to rig them for years. They intimidated voters, they closed polling locations, they purged voter rolls, etc. You don’t have to fake the votes if you can stop them from being cast in the first place.

A felon can run for president, and it makes sense why the US allows it.

Someone who engaged in sedetion/insurrection is not allowed to hold office … and THAT is where the US legal system’s corruption failed us all.

To clarify, I believe you mean that it is unconstitutional for someone who foments insurrection to be elected. THIS is what if was about, and THIS is what the Anderson decision ratfucked us into.

E: ah, just saw the other person saying this.

What does Trump gain by lying? Any of his lies can be traced back to him gaining something.

Do you honestly think that the party of, “every accusation is a confession,” who spent 4 years screaming about election fraud didn’t commit election fraud?

Are you trying to be a trump apologist and say he didn’t really mean what he was saying?

I’m with you, I think we all are, but what would you propose we do? I certainly don’t know. “Attending protests” doesn’t feel impactful or immediate enough.

You could visit your congressman’s office and hold them accountable. Thats why their office is in your county, but hopefully not too far.

But please do attend the protests too, they need to have these protests at media stations/HQs for maximum effects and coverage

It’s already past the point that it will require violent uprising. Voting and protesting are no longer sufficient at this point.

Not much we can do. The majority decided, Trump won.

And before you go “nuhn uhn, so many people didn’t vote…” the non-voters are totally OK with other people making the decisions for them. If they weren’t, they wouldn’t be non-voters.

The only thing we can do is hunker down and try to move the needle in 2026.

Every House seat is up for election. Flip the House.

33 Senate seats are up for election, 21 Republican, 12 Democratic. Flip the Senate.

People voted for a president. The people did not vote for the deconstruction of the pillars of our democratic republic. They were lied to.

What do you think George Washington or Andrew Jackson would do?

They would have been fighting yesterday.

Hahaha are you guys at war now against a democratically elected president? So basically at war with between a third and a half of the country citizens?

Boy I really hope you are having a time shanking people left and right. Remember to ask who they voted for tho, you know, to avoid popping a guy who has nothing to do with it.

    That’s insane hshshsj
