When I was young, I read a quote: “war doesn’t determine who’s right. It determines who’s left.”
At the time, I thought it quite clever and deep.
I mean, it is rather clever, that’s an excellent quote
I don’t disagree that it’s clever and I like the message of the quote, but mostly I think that when I was younger I thought it was deeper than I do now.
Calvin’s Dad knew the answer but it doesn’t work in a comic.
Everything positive must be backed up with “we’ll fight you over this if we have to.”
Calvin’s right.
First read this comic as a child, am now “grown-up”. Yeah.
Hopefully because soldiers killing each other is better than soldiers killing civilians. Unfortunately, many wars aren’t fought to prevent civilians from being killed.
