    “Wait I remember borrowing that to somebody, but who was it again?” - it’s gone

    “I swear I saw it yesterday” - search as long as you want, you will find it by accident mere moments after you no longer need it

    “I remember I put that in a specific place for safekeeping” - will resurface when you move

        people confuse those two a lot. especially non-native speakers who’s languages have one word for borrow and lend

              I’m German but became fluent in English before school so I consider myself native. Anyway what I’m trying to say is I’m really good at being bad in two languages at the same time

                that is so fair. i’m polish and learnt english the same way natives do, so i consider myself near native, and i also suck at both of my langauges
