    No, Europe is aggressively pushing for additional backdoors and tracking. The tracking is often disguised as a way to protect children with age verification.

    Texas recently did something similar and now I cannot access porn or blood&gore websites. I personally think most porn is horrible for the mind and for relationships, but if “authorities” truly cared about kids, they’d be farrrrr harsher on the pervy perps they do catch - those targeting kids, but also any rapist or perv, because so many will choose a minor if that is what is easiest or most accessible even if a minor is not their preference. In some areas, there are over 100 rape kits waiting to be tested, but no money to test them. In some areas, there is also a 15 year maximum time limit on rape, so DNA for a 16 year old rape kit means nothing - cannot be used as proof or as a hint even that Joe Schmuck might have a pattern of rape going back years.
