Beats me. That’s why I asked.
Though saying that calling out human rights atrocities in China is “sinophobia” is certainly tankie behaviour, so from what little evidence we’ve got here, the label works.
Some of the examples in the post are human rights issues some are bad understandings of history. Putting them all together appears to me as just trying to say China bad. If wanting to have a non-black and white view of history is tankie behavior then so be it.
