As someone who’s changing their diet, what’s the best tasting meal you’ve had. no sugar please. I’m in the mindset of I’m too fat, and need to loose weight. Just looking for flavor option if y’all are open to it
no “best meal” but: I’d say avoid meat substitutes and don’t try to recreate meals which usually contain animal products. some things are meant as they are and don’t take changing core ingredients lightly.
my go-to is Indian food, esp. dhal (lentils). there are loads of recipes which have stood the test of cranky kids and grumpy husbands.
in fact there’s lots of classic recipes from times where people could not afford eating animal products regularly and still wanted great food.
however it’s all homemade and sometimes time-intensive. hth
I really like gochujang fried rice with crumpled tofu for protein instead of chicken. The crumpled tofu has a bit a consistency similar to scrambled egg. Gochujang has such an addicting spicyness to it. I heard gochujang sometimes isn’t vegan but the first I looked at in our asia store was so I don’t know what they add in some that isn’t. https://platefulofveggies.com/vegan-gochujang-fried-rice-with-tofu/ this is the recipe I’m using

I highly recommend Indian cuisine! They aren’t trying to replace meat, just making delicious foods that often don’t contain meat!
Veggie soup, beans and rice. Flavor with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper
