Wait… is this a real physical book? I’ve had this picture for awhile but I thought it was one of those “your childhood ruined” type deals:
The cover art is real, but the words have been changed. The real book is The Sword of Bheleu.
tips cap Much obliged!
That shows a different cover, this is the cover that was modified
It’s definitely not a real physical book. The author’s name is not real and I’m pretty sure it’s an anagram of something involving ‘penis,’ just looking at it, but I don’t feel like figuring that out. Someone else is welcome to.
Halt! Mr Penis, sir.
That’s the best I’ve got.
I guess Mr Lit Penis Rash works too but it’s a bit more nonsensical.
Wait, is sword a euphemism for penis in this book?
A lot of people keep asking me questions that are answered by the cover of my book…
It says right there. Like three times. Which isn’t suspicious at all.
No! Absolutely not! Down boy! Bad doggy!
I’m not seeing it.
How the hell do you sheathe and unsheathe a sword from your back? 🤔
You don’t. If you carry your sword sheathed on your back, you first take the whole thing off, like a backpack.
Shad from the YouTube channel Shadiversity made a back scabbard that actually works, but it’s not historical. Historically, people didn’t really do it.
He also made a bow carrier on his back, to mimic a lot of movies and games.
To be a bit more precise, people did sometimes carry swords on their back, but generally not into battle. It was more comfortable for travel, but impossible to draw, so when they were expecting trouble they would move it to the hip.
Ask the people who made the Highlander TV series. They apparently unsheathed them out of their ass.
I loved those great illustrated classics.
Still tricking me into believing I read stuff like black beauty or count of Monte cristo
